There are endless exhibits in the Museum of Civilization. I have a special affinity for Northwest Coast Native art, so my photographs focus primarily on that portion of the museum.
This study of Haida Gwai'i is similar to the one that I did in the Vancouver International Airport, where a bronze instance of this sculpture stands. This white sculpture was actually the "model" from which the bronze cast was made.

The bronze cast of this sculpture stands outside the Vancouver Aquarium, at the centre of a reflecting pool / fountain that welcomes guests to the aquarium. This sculpture seems to defy gravity, the same way a real Orca does when it breaches.

The special exhibit at the museum when we visited was the Vikings. They even had a real viking longboat that you could go and paddle around on the river!
